The players had had some very good rolls in character generation which, along with the presence of six players, had meant that they had a lot of ship shares to spend. They looked at old ships available at auction and had plumped for a converted Teufelskatze-class Covert Logistics corvette.
Intended to supply special forces, covert agents and other forward-deployed groups, the ship was little more than a thinly-disguised smuggler, and this had been its role when seized by the Imperium navy. Her med bay had been converted to another stateroom, only one of the two hardpoints had a turret fitted, and she had a variety of other quirks and weaknesses, but she was available at a hefty discount, not least because (as her last owners had found) she could not cover the mortgage payments and high maintenance costs (double the standard for her class at launch) by running standard cargo routes.

Whatever else you might say about her, however, she is a pretty ship.
Her bridge is as sleek as her hull, which is stealthy in design. She also has an enhanced Jump Drive, minimising the jump flash when she enters a system. She has no armour, but she does have a single deflector screen which, properly operated, will buy her a few minutes to escape combat when detected.

Primarily a stealthy hauler, a quarter of the ship is dedicated to cargo space, including a retrofitted, 5 dton concealed compartment for sensitive goods. Her hull has suffered with age, however, and is slightly less robust in a fight than it once was.
